Deputy Speaker Nadendla Manohar adjourned the Assembly thrice today as the opposition TDP created ruckus in the house demanding the constitution of a Joint Legislative Committee on the allotment of lands made to various companies during the regime of YSR in the name of SEZs.

Holding placards and raising slogans against the government, the TDP members barged into the well of the house and demanded immediate constitution of the Joint Legislative Committee to probe the illegalities of land allotment resorted to by the YSR regime.

The opposition MLAs did not allow the government to make a statement on the issue as they continued with their sloganeering. Deputy Speaker and some ministers appealed to the members to allow the government to make a statement but the adamant TDP MLAs were not ready to accept any thing less than the constitution of a House Committee to probe the illegalities committed by the YSR regime.

As the din continued in the House, the Chair adjourned the assembly two times and then finally for tomorrow.
