KCR on damage control mode

kcr-imageAs the TRS president K. Chandrasekhara rao received flak left and right from the Telangana protagonists following the cross voting by three TRS MLAs in the just concluded Legislative Council elections from the MLAs quota, KCR has embarked on a damage control exercise.

He is reportedly planning to seek the resignations of the three TRS MLAs who have resorted to the cross voting in favour of congress candidates.

Pro-Telangana groups, individuals and organizations spit venom on KCR for the action of his MLAs and described him as a betrayer of Telangana.

“At a time when the Telangana movement is at its peak, KCR men had indulged in this betrayal by voting for the congress candidates in the MLC elections,” they criticized him. While the While the MRPS leader Manda Krishna Madiga said KCR was the only stumbling block in the attainment of Telangana state, OU students burnt his effigy calling him a betrayer of Telangana.

As part of the damage control exercise, KCR has convened an emergency meeting of his party’s politburo this evening at the Telangana Bhavan to discuss the issue. But whether or not the TRS leadership has recognized the three MLAs who resorted to the cross voting is not yet known.
