Changing his tact, the beleaguered TRS chief KCR said today that he would go by the decision of the people on the issue of the merger of his party with the congress.

Speaking at a public meeting at Banswada where the TDP MLA Pocharam Srinivasa Reddy joined the TRS, KCR said that till now there is no invitation from the congress to his party for merger. People will, however, decide finally on the merger of TRS with congress once the invitation comes from the party, he said defending his moves.

“No invitation for merger has come and once the proposal comes, the people will decide as I am not the final deciding authority,” he said.

The reports published in some newspapers are part of a conspiracy against the TRS, he said adding that he never spoke about the merger in the meeting of the MSOs. “As there is no proposal till now on the merger, the TRS will continue even after formation of the separate state and it will work for the reconstruction of the Telangana state,” he said.

Welcoming the judgment of the High Court asking the Centre to make public the secret contents of the Justice Sri Krishna Committee, KCR said that the Sri Krishna Committee has become a part of the conspiracy to block the Telangana state.

Stating that the formation of Telangana state is in final stages, he said they have been considering as their brothers all those who took their birth in Telangana and all those who settled in Telangana. “We have absolutely not differences with them,” he said.
