T cong seeks time bound solution

T Cong MLA'sDenying media reports that the T congress MPs, MLAs and MLCs who have quit their posts seeking Telangana state are going to form a new political party, the agitated T leaders today asked the Centre and the congress leadership to finish the formation of the Telangana state in a given time frame.

Addressing national media in Delhi this afternoon, the leaders took objection to the attitude of the high command towards the issue and asked the Central government and the party president to give them time bound schedule for forming the state of Telangana, be it two months, three months or six months.

“You are under moral pressure to keep up the promise made in the past several times on Telangana formation,” they told the party and the government. “You have started the process of forming Telangana state and you must complete it,” they told the Home Minister P. Chidambaram.

Reminding the Centre that it made promises on Telangana formation over a dozen times in the past, the MPs led by the Rajya Sabha members Keshava Rao and LS member Ponnam Prabhakar told that the promise was not a new one. “We are only seeking the fulfillment of the old promise, not a new one,” they said.
