An earth quake of low intensity took place in several villages of Chittor district today making people run out of their houses fearing for their lives.

The tremors were felt in the villages of Mittapalli, Gonipalli, Patnam and Erala and their surrounding areas of Tavanam Palli Mandalam this morning. There are no reports of loss of lives or property.
