The crusaders of separate Telangana agitation have changed the schedule of the 3-day Rail Roko programme across Telangana proposed from Oct 9 to Oct 12. The Rail Roko will now be observed on Oct 12, 13 and 14.
Announcing this in Hyderabad today, the Telangana political JAC convener Prof. Kodanda ram told journalists that the programme has been changed for some important reasons.
Sources said that the programme has been changed to give trouble to the candidates who would appear for the APPSC group-II examinations in Hyderabad scheduled to be held for two days from Oct 15.
The candidates are likely to arrive in Hyderabad from distant places two or three days in advance and they would not be able to attend the examinations if rail blockade is observed on the changed dates. “This is the main purpose behind making the changes in the schedule,” said a top TRS leader.
With the changes in the Rail Roko programme, it would be really a problem for the Group-II aspirants to reach Hyderabad from long distance place in the state. Already, RTC buses are off the roads.
