Telangana congress MP Mr Madhu Yashki Goud today threatened to join the on-going mass general strike and take up fast unto death if the Centre doesn’t announce a road map for formation of Telangana state in the next two days.
Addressing media persons after a meeting of the T congress leaders at his house in Hyderabad this morning, Goud said that the proposed action is aimed at putting more pressure on the Centre into announcing statehood to Telangana region.
“It is better if the Centre announces a road map of Telangana state quickly as all people of the Telangana area have been striking work voluntarily for the last three weeks. The strike is historical,” Goud and other MPs told journalists. “We are ready to launch fast unto death for T state.”
CM Mr Kirankumar Reddy, Deputy CM Damodar Rajanarasimha, PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana, former PCC chief Mr D. Srinivas and the Governor ESL Narasimhan should explain to the Central leadership about the need to form Telangana state,” they said.
