From Railways to IAS – saga of hard working Chandrudu

IASNothing is impossible if one decides on a strategy and determines to execute with perfection then goal is attainable no matter what may come. And here is one Mr. Gandham Chandrudu, who was working as a Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) in South Central Railway, got selected for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). Hailing from a poor family in Kurnool district and belonging to the weaker sections the undeterred Mr.Chandrudu was selected as Ticket Collector and later elevated as Travelling Ticket Examiner and worked at Kacheguda, Secunderabad, Nanded, Auragabad from 2000 to 2009.

From here he completed his Correspondence degree from IGNOU. Later He got through civil services examinations, conducted by Union Public Service Commission in 2009 and completed his academic training at Mossouri from August 2010 to June 2011. Presently, he is undergoing training as Asst. Collector at Medak District Collectorate, said a press release from SCR.

The SC-ST Railway Officers’ Forum, here today congratulated Mr Chandrudu for becoming a role model for others especially the candidates from weaker sections of the society through his success in Civil Services Examination. And Mr. Chandrudu thanked all for their good wishes, he went on further that he would establish an Education Society with the aim of helping poor students to enable them to prepare for Civil Services Examination.
