The AP Film Chamber of Commerce has appointed a special committee to deal with the flood of dubbed films into Tollywood. The committee members are Suresh Babu, Dilraju, Vijayendara reddy and Natti Kumar.

The Film Chamber of Commerce has decided not to allow release of dubbed movies in AP on the occasion of festivals like Sankranthi, Dasara, Vinayaka Chavithi and Deepawali. The organization also requested the Government to increase the entertainment tax on dubbed movies from 20 to 50 per cent.

It might be mentioned that Tollywood is under squeeze with the dubbed movies for the last few years and the representatives of the film industry recently met the Chief Minster Kirankumar reddy and requested him to initiate steps to control the flood of dubbed movies into Telugu as they have become a threat to the existence of the films originally made in Telugu.
