Opposition leader in the Lok Sabha Ms Sushma Swaraj of BJP today gave a notice for discussion on the demand for separate Telangana state in the winter session of Parliament beginning Nov 22.

After serving the notice at the Lok Sabha Speaker’s office in Delhi, Sushma told journalists that the Government failed to keep its promise on Telangana. “The UPA government had promised in the winter session of Parliament that the Telangana issue would be solved soon. But nothing has happened till now,” she said.

However, she didn’t reveal under which rule the notice was given for discussion on the issue.

Along with Sushma Swaraj, BJP top leader LK Advani has openly announced support for the Telangana bill whenever it is introduced in the parliament. Reiterating her demand for the introduction of the Telangana bill, Sushma said the congress party has been playing with the sentiments of the Telangana people on the issue.

“Stop playing games on the issue and introduce the bill in the winter session of parliament,” she said aiming at the Congress leadership.
