CBI today received the copies of the petition filed by the Pulivendula YSR Congress MLA Ms. Vijayamma in the high court seeking investigation into the alleged accumulation wealth by the former chief minister Mr Chandrababu Naidu during his regime.
CBI Joint Director Mr VV Lakshminarayana personally went to the high court along with some of his officers and collected the copies.
Lakshminarayana later told newspersons that his agency would immediately launch the investigation as per the court orders. “We will serve notices on all the persons mentioned in the court orders,” he said.
Nearly ten days ago, the high court passed orders directing the CBI and ED to conduct preliminary investigation into the allegations against Chandrababu and 13 others including his family members based on the petition filed by Vijayamma. (JUBS)
