TDP chief Mr Chandrababu Naidu said today he was not against the formation of Telangana state and asserted that his party had made this stand very clear long back.
Launching his Rytu Poru Bata from Lambadapally in Husnabad Mandalam of Karimnagar district in Telangana, Naidu said despite his repeated assertions that he was not against Telangana, both congress and TRS have been trying to suppress the TDP.
“Both congress and TRS have conspired to suppress TDP but they can’t succeed in their nefarious designs as TDP is strong at the grass root level in the state,” he said.
Accusing the state government of keeping silence towards the farmers’ problems, Naidu said that the farmers have been handicapped by the lack of a higher MSP (Minimum Support Price) for their agricultural produce.
“No minister or official is talking about purchasing the paddy,” he said, adding that a shameless and useless government has been ruling the state. “However, TDP will continue its fight till agriculture is turned into profitable activity,” Naidu asserted.
Tension at Mulkanur
Tension prevailed for a while at the village Mulkanur when some TRS activists tried to stop his Yatra. The supporters of the TDP clashed with TRS workers leading to a police lathicharge. Four persons were injured in the clash and police lathi charge. (JUBS)
