Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram denied today the Centre has decided to constitute the Telangana Regional Development Board as a solution for the Telangana issue.
“There is no truth in the media reports that a regional development board for Telangana will be constituted by the Centre,” he told a media conference in Delhi. “We have not taken any such decision,” he said in response to questions on T issue.
“There is no progress on the T issue,” he made it clear when asked about the possibility of a decision after the UP elections.
Terror module busted
Chidambaram said the central intelligence agencies and the police agencies of three states have foiled the attempts of terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) to attack a crowded locality in Delhi with bombs by arresting two of its members today.
Earlier, the Delhi police, in cooperation with agencies of three states have arrested two terrorists of the Lashkar-e-Taiba at Nizamuddin railway station in Delhi. (J)
