Telugu Desam Party, which drew blank in the bypolls 2012, has come out with interesting statements to defend the party. TDP leader Mothkupally Narsimhulu has said that TDP has nothing to do with the results of bypolls. He has also said that the prime agenda of TDP is the general election in 2014.

Commenting on the victory of YSR Congress, Mothkupalli has said that sympathy was the main factor in the bypolls. Experts questioned on several social networking websites as to why TDP fielded the candidates for bypolls in case if their main target was general election-2014. Don't know what TDP would answer on this.
