YSRC honorary president and mother of Jaganmohan Reddy, Vijayamma has turned down the statements of the opposition, who said YSRC's victory in recent bypolls was due to mere sympathy factor. She has said that people's love for the late chief minister YS Rajashekara Reddy made them vote for YSRC. Clearing the rumours that are in air, Vijayamma has said that YSRC had no intentions to destabilize the government in the state. Nonetheless, she said the party would welcome anyone.

YSRC would wait till 2014, said Vijayamma who even questioned as to why should they (YSRC leaders) destabilize the government.  It may be noted that a few Congress leaders, who later joined YSRC, voted against ruling Congress when TDP tried to destabilize the government through no confidence motion in 2011.
