TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu, who is presumably on a mission to attract the BC vote bank in Andhra Pradesh, has earlier promised 100 MLA tickets to candidates from BC communities and also said TDP would exert pressure on the Centre over reservations to BC s in legislature. Now, Babu went ahead and said he would even allot more than 100 MLA tickets to BC candidates if efficient candidates come forward to stand in elections.
Chandrababu Naidu has also thrown a challenge to the opposition parties, who had been reportedly commenting on the BC policies of TDP, to declare better BC policies and get hailed by him (Babu). He has also stressed that there was no question of backtracking on backward classes. Further, he said they (TDP) would show how to best implement the BC declaration. Also, he called upon the backward sections to come to one stage.
Earlier, Congress MP and legendary film personality, Chiranjeevi has said that he would really welcome in case Chandrababu keeps up his promise on BC declaration. He, however, said people were not in a stage to believe the words of Chandrababu Naidu. It may be noted that Chiranjeevi has biggest BC vote bank in the state, according to the political analysts.
