Tension atmosphere prevailed at the online medical counseling centers in Hyderabad, where the prospective eligible candidates, are getting enrolled into MBBS and BDS at various autonomous and private colleges.

The SFI and PDSU unions have staged a protest outside the online counseling center and demanded that the management seats be allotted online. The students reportedly expressed their anguish stating that private colleges were allegedly selling the management seats for nearly one crore rupees without giving due importance to even Governor's guidelines.

Since, the situation turned chaotic, the police teams were pressed into action. The agitators at the online centers were lifted and shifted to police stations. It may be noted that first phase online medical counseling has begun today for filling up over 30,000 MBBS seats and other dental seats.
