TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu has said that people were at loss due to liquor shops and ensured that TDP would ban belt shops in case it comes to power. It has to be mentioned here that it was TDP, which was successful in banning alcohol in the state under the rule 'madhyapana nishedam,' which was widely hailed by scores of women then although the move (by late CM NTR) came under criticism by drunkards. Will TDP again ban alcohol and not just belt shops if it comes to power? Although it's a million dollar question, analysts observed that TDP would surely sweep 2014 elections if it promises 'madhyapana nishedam' again.
Chandrababu Naidu, who's on padayatra (Vastunna Meekosam), has said that he launched his tour to go into public and find out their problems and not to adorn the chief minister's seat. To make a point, Chandrababu Naidu has even mentioned that coming to power was nothing new for TDP. Stressing on the welfare activities, Chandrababu Naidu has promised that TDP would be waiving off the loans taken by the farmers. Sympathizing with farmers, he said irrespective of how much ever hard work farmers do, they last end up with debts. Chandrabbau Naidu even demanded the government to implement the recommendations of Swaminathan Committee with immediate effect.
