Seemandhra Leaders Strongly Advocate Samaikyandhra

Antony Committee conducted meeting in the War Room on Thursday evening with the representatives from the State to share their views on the decision of bifurcation of the State of Andhra Pradesh.

The leaders attended the meeting were Ministers Kavuri Sambasiva Rao, MM Pallam Raju, K.Chiranjeevi, Panabaka Lakshmi, Purandheswari, Kotla Surya Prakasha Reddy and JD Seelam and MPs Chinta Mohan and Renuka Chowdhery.

Congress leadership was firm on not going back on the decision of CWC to carve out Telangana from the State and on the other hand the protests in Seemandhra to keep the State united is getting intensified making the Congress leaders sandwiched between the people they represent and the party they work for.  Pressure has been mounting in the districts of Seemandhra to resign and join the agitation.  Protesters say that the leaders are elected by them not just to sit pretty at Delhi unmindful of the wishes of the people they represent.

The Seemandhra leaders revealed their problems and problems that are sure to arise on bifurcation like water and electricity sharing and protection for the Andhra employees and other things related to it and strongly advocated against going ahead with the process of bifurcation.

After coming out from the meeting, the leaders said that the Committee gave a patient hearing and assured them that the points put forth will be considered in the final decision of bifurcation process.
