Throughout history, Chandrababu was known to declare his assets just before any major strategy is played out. Now too, everyone is searching for a hidden agenda behind his asset declaration, which happens to be Rs 41 crores in 2013.
No one is believing him. According to popular talk, Chandrababu is worth about Rs 2,000 crores net. The politician has of course denied all allegations as baseless. But, everyone knows that he is one of wealthiest politicians in India.
Chandrababu Naidu is believed to have amassed a wide fortune spread over Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai and even Singapore. From just two acres of land before his stint as chief minister, Naidu has gone from strength to strength. He was also linked to the infamous land grabbing scam.
With his declaration now, he has surprised everyone with the timing. Before too, he always timed such announcements with a political strategy, for example, the Anna Hazare movement. He said he was against corruption, but has never been honest about his true net worth.
As per his declarations, his net worth was 38 crores in 2012 and increased to 41 crores this year. His announcement included the family's Heritage Foods business, headed by wife Bhuvaneswari. She is reportedly worth Rs 33 crores. Last year she was worth nearly 25 crores.
