Former Home Minister and senior Congress leader Jana Reddy is upset with the high command for not opting his name for the Pradesh Congress Committee [PCC] chief post. Newly elected PCC chief Ponnala, Uttam Kumar Reddy, Sridhar Babu, Jana Reddy were in Delhi till the announcement was made and only Jana Reddy stayed back in the national capital.
Sources said that Jana Reddy was extremely upset with high command for not considering his name in any panel. AP incharge Digvijay Singh and Sonia Gandhi have called on Jana to console him and also assured him a major post in future. Jana left the residence of Sonia Gandhi without speaking to the media.
Commenting on Jana's upset, Digvijay Singh said, “Jana is the senior most leader and true Congressmen. He is not upset with the party or the high command however, Jana will be given the right importance at appropriate time.” These statements clearly show Jana is severely hurt with the high command.
It is also said that if Congress is voted into power in the Telangana state, Jana is likely to be front runners for the Chief Minister post.
