Telangana will be a separate state from June 2nd and arrangements for the celebrations are getting ready in a huge scale. While on the other side, Andhra Pradesh formation day is likely to be delayed as Chandrababu Naidu will be swearing as chief minister on June 8th. The government sources are still in dilemma on what date to be appointed as AP formation day.

The President's Rule in AP has been extended till June 8th and Raj Bhavan sources say that the new government of Andhra Pradesh will take a decision on formation day. The political circles are discussing that October 1st should be declared as formation day as it was also the day when Andhra state got separated from Madras in 1953.

However, few are said to be against this and to avoid confusion, Governor is likely to take this to notice of the Andhra Pradesh new government. TDP insiders say that they haven't discussed about the formation day so far and if Governor officially hands over the task to us, we will have a word with partymen and announce an appropriate date. And also the change for the name of Andhra Pradesh to Telugu Nadu is in consideration.
