At least 6 people were reportedly killed in the Hudhud cyclone which caused a massive destruction in Vizag city and the officials are getting ready for the rescue operations. Hundreds of trees, electric poles were down and there is no power supply in the state from Saturday night at 11:30 PM. The officials say that once the electric poles are restored, the power and communication facilities will be made available to the entire city.

The scale of devastation is yet to be assessed while Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu has sought Rs 2000 crores immediately from the centre. Vizag airport got completely damaged while lakhs of acres of cultivated land too got spoiled.
Thanks to Indian Meteorological Department [IMD] for estimating the impact of cyclone, predicting the time and place where the cyclone hit the land. With its instructions, about four lakh people were shifted to safe places.
