AP govt to take a decision on EAMCET

Andhra Pradesh government might take a decision on EAMCET in couple of days, [whether to do hold it jointly or to conduct individually]. Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education has already announced the dates of EAMCET and other professional courses examinations but Telangana government declined to be part of it. Moreover, Telangana government is in no mood to compromise with AP government in EAMCET issue.

As the issue was turning bigger, joint Governor of Telugu states, ESL Narasimhan stepped into action. He held discussions with AP and Telangana Educational Ministers, Ganta Srinivas and Jagadeeshwar Reddy on Saturday. But the meeting ended with no proper solution to the issue. However, AP government is heard to be in favor of conduction the EAMCET jointly but as the Telangana government is not accepting it, they are considering other ways.

Meanwhile the Raj Bhavan [Governor Office] has sent a statement that it is not supporting the Telangana government in the EAMCET. Post the Governor meeting with AP and T Educational ministers, rumors spread around that Narasimhan backed the Telangana government's decision in the EAMCET issue but Raj Bhavan sources clarified that even Governor is looking for an amicable solution on it.

We have to wait what decision would AP take and will it be acceptable by the Telangana government or not.
