“YCRCP President Jagan will start his indefinite fast for the special status from September 26th,” said YSRCP Deputy floor leader Jyothula Nehru.
Jagan Mohan Reddy already announced that, there would be an indefinite fast for the special status to Andhra Pradesh. A few days back, after he conducted the ‘Deeksha’, he announced an indefinite fast from September 15th.
But keeping in mind the Vinayaka Chavithi festival from September 17th, after the proper discussions with the seniors and other officials, September 26th is being considered as the date for conducting the indefinite past.
TDP’s failure made Jagan go forward for Special status - Nehru
Speaking to the media about the issue, Jyothula Nehru said, as the state government is failing at the every instance in pressurizing the centre for the special status, Jagan and YSRCP leaders had to take this decision, for the better future of Andhra Pradesh.
In the past, Jagan conducted a two day fast at Mangalagiri and one day protest at New Delhi and one day State Bandh too. But that did not move the centre in any way. This silence from the centre made Jagan to take the tough decision, which is to conduct an indefinite fast in Guntur.
Pawan Kalyan comments on Special status boosted YSRCP!
The special status issue gets viral day by day. Especially, it is in the talks of the common public that, the state government is not concerned about the special status issue, after the oppositions and that too Janasena President Pawan Kalyan, who is said to be the friend of TDP, said that, AP MPs are not trying for special status at all.
That statement from Pawan Kalyan boosted up other opposition parties like YSRCP and started cornering the state government that, it is not at all concerned about the special status.
On the other hand, the centre assured good ‘Special package’ to Andhra Pradesh instead of Special status. Though the government seems satisfied with the special package, Jagan seems not stopping his protests and fasts, until the special status is announced to AP.
