Telangana government is planning to construct the signal free roads in Hyderabad, in order to have the smooth flow of traffic.
The level of headache, the signals are creating, and killing the hours of time every day, is not new to the citizens. The Telangana government, who recognized this issue, came forward with an appropriate plan.
Explaining about the same, IT and Panchayat Raj Minister KTR said that, the multi-level flyovers would be constructed at crucial 54 junctions in the city, under the Strategic Roads Development Project (SRDP).
KTR said that, the state government would seek funds from the Central government for the huge budgeted project. KTR, accompanied by Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya and Deputy CM Mahmood Ali, laid foundation stones for different facets of the project at KBR park, Kukatpally and other places.
The officials estimated that, a whopping Rs 20,000 Crore would cost for implementing the Strategic Roads Development Project.
KTR further said, “Along with the multi level flyovers, the government is even planning to construct Skyways on the outskirts of the city, under the project.
Not stopping there, KTR added that, the state government is going to construct night shelters for beggars, double-bed room flats for poor people and community function halls in colonies.
“To have a clean city, we had already distributed over 42 Lakh dust bins and 2000 auto-trolleys for waste management in the city,” said KTR.
On the other hand, even Bandaru Dattatreya assured to bring funds from the Centre to develop the Hyderabad city.
Needless to say, that, this is one of the strategy, Telangana government is playing, to attract the public, keeping in mind, the upcoming GHMC elections.
