Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is almost at the end of its era in Telangana state and reportedly Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is trying to call off the party operations in the state.
Needless to say that, TRS is unstoppable in Telangana state. No other party cannot even dream of competing with TRS. Especially, the situation of TDP is more worse, as known from the recent GHMC elections result.
Moreover, Naidu do not even have any intention of making it big in Telangana, due to the threat, Telangana Chief Minister KCR might create, as did earlier through cash for vote and phone conversation issue.
Even a number of MLAs from TDP are joining TRS and the flow is expected to be big, in the coming days. At this point of time, unwilling to create disturbing atmosphere with the super powerful CM, Naidu is reportedly being hinted by his party activists, to merge TTDP with TRS.
If the sources are to be believed, a powerful caste lobby from the mid-coastal Andhra region has reportedly advised Naidu to scale down the Telugu Desam Party in Telangana state. This is the same lobby, which can bring a patch up between Naidu and KCR.
If that takes place, Cash for Vote' and 'Telephone tapping' cases would not be heard again. Moreover, the community has more interests in Hyderabad and other key areas in Telangana. So for the safe running of those, TDP had no other option, other than maintaining the friendly relations with the ruling TRS party in the state.
On the other hand, if at all TDP, tries to land up into fight with TRS to emerge as an alternative political force, then the community is expected to suffer huge losses.
So, TDP which almost lost all the opportunities to come into the power in Telangana because of Andhra based leadership, would prove that is it wise, if it dances to the tunes of TRS and thus safeguard its community people businesses in the state.
