On the occasion of last Friday of Ramzan, security has been beefed up in old city of Hyderabad apart from the Bhagyalakshmi temple in the area where a huge crowd is expected.

DCP Satyakumar, who is supervising the operations revealed that more than 200 police personnel were deployed at the Old City that included RAF team to look into the security issues.

He further made an appeal to the people not to believe the rumors that have been doing the rounds on social media sites on terrorist activities.

Meanwhile, Shamshabad airport has been on high alert from the past few days, following the five IS sympathizers.

Teams have been formed to conduct special checks at the airport and passengers are taking the drill of security check way before they reach the checkpoint. Also, the visitor’s passes have been cancelled and police forces are busy scanning through the entire airport.
