In a tragic incident, a second year Intermediate student died at a private hospital in Hyderabad on Sunday after he was injured in the fight with another student.

According to the police, Madipeddi Umesh lives in a boys hostel of a private college in Jangaon.

Bhuvanagiri Praveen, an Intermediate first year student use to live with him in the same hostel.

Both the boys are residents of the boys’ hostel .

The boys got into a fight on June 30 during which Umesh was severely injured on the back of his head as he fell on a stone.

Umesh was immediately admitted to a private hospital in Hyderabad. He was in the coma until July 9 and died on Sunday.

Jangaon circle inspector Srinivas said “Umesh’s brother Venkat filed a complaint against Praveen and the college management. Both the students belong to Peddamadugu village.” Police are investigating the case.
