The recent Assembly elections took place in five states and no party got full majority in Goa. Though Congress managed to stand at the top, BJP got the support of the regional parties which made the party lead the race and form the government. Union defence minister Manohar Parrikar has been asked to resign from his position and take care of Goa. He managed to unite all the regional parties and he is taking the oath today evening. However Congress approached Supreme Court to halt the oath of Manohar Parrikar.
A special bench in Supreme Court asked Manohar Parrikar to step ahead and takeĀ the oath as Chief Minister of Goa. However it clearly mentioned that Manohar Parrikar should prove his strength in 15 days from the day he turns Chief Minister. Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and Nithin Gadkari are closely monitoring all the happenings of the Goa politics. We have to wait and see if Manohar Parrikar will prove his strength.
