TS CM KCR Slams BJP National Prez Amit Shah:- The Telangana State Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today has slammed the BJP National President Amit Shah.

KCR accused Shah for the blatant lies that he had been uttering during his three-day visit to the state. Addressing media persons at Pragathi Bhavan, the CM listed out various inconsistencies in Shah’s claims in providing the Centre’s assistance to Telangana State. KCR contrary to the BJP President’s claim of the Centre extending Rs one lakh crore financial help to the State, said it was the State which was making a hefty contribution to the Central kitty.

KCR said, “ The accruals from the State to the Centre including Income Tax, Service Tax, Customs Duty and others amounted to Rs 50,013 crore, in 2016-2017, while the Centre’s assistance to the State during the year was only Rs 24,561 crore. This included the support to welfare programmes even.”

The Chief Minister further pointed out that the financial support the State had received from the Centre was less than 50% of the State’s contribution to the Union government. He further said it was pathetic for Shah to make such allegations.

“Shah also spoke of the Centre giving an additional Rs 20,000 crore annually to Telangana State. Leave alone Rs 20,000 crore, I challenge him to show additional Central assistance of even Rs 2,000 crore,” he said.  

“I really do not know why he is indulging in such blatant lies, but it does not befit a person holding that position. I am also not sure whether these are his views or whether the local leadership has fed him with these absurd figures,” said KCR.

The TS CM further demanded an immediate explanation from the BJP president.
