More Infectious New Coronavirus Mutant Found In South Africa:- A new and more infectious coronavirus mutant was found that causes Covid 19 in UK and now another variant has been found has links to South Africa. The health department of South Africa told that a new genetic mutation of Coronavirus was discovered last week and this might be responsible for the recent infections.
Matt Hancock, British health secretary confirmed that there detected two cases which are belonging to this new variant category in United Kingdom. In the two cases, they have come in contact who have travelled from South Africa over past few weeks.
South Africa reported last week that the scientists have been found a new genetic mutation of the Covid 19 which might be the responsible for the recent surge in coronavirus cases in South Africa.
British health secretary as also said, "This South African variant is more transmissible than the UK variant, as this variant has mutated further than the UK variant."
Zweli Mkhize, the South African Health Minister tweeted, "We have convened this public briefing today to announce that a variant of the SARS-COV-2 Virus- currently termed 501.V2 Variant has been identified by our genomics scientists here in South Africa."

SA Health Minister Zweli Mkhize said, “Clinicians have been providing anecdotal evidence of a shift in the clinical epidemiological picture- in particular noting that they are seeing a larger proportion of younger patients with no co-morbidities presenting with critical illness.” The Younger people who are with no co-morbidities are being infected with this new variant which as been found in South Africa.

The scientists said, "This South African variant may allow the virus to better bind to and enter cells than previous variants, which is why transmission rate is higher." In South Africa, this new Coronavirus mutant was discovered while there is a routine surveillance by the laboratories.
All the flights are banned by the countries United Kingdom, Switzerland, Germany, Israel, Mauritius and Turkey from South Africa.
