1700 Omicron Cases Reported In India:- The Omicron variant of coronavirus is spreading on a fast note all over. The new variant is now present in all the states and union territories of the country. As per the official reports from the Union Health Ministry, 1700 cases of the Omicron variant are reported in India till date which is huge. States like Maharashtra, Karnataka, New Delhi, West Bengal and Haryana imposed several restrictions after the recent sudden spike in the new cases of coronavirus. The daily tally of coronavirus cases too increased suddenly and the daily total tally reported is 33,750. This is the highest single day rise in the recent months in the country. There are 1,45,582 active cases of coronavirus in the country.
123 people passed away yesterday and the total death tally is said to be 4,81,893. The total number of vaccination doses given in total are said to be 1,45,68,89,306. A total number of 3,42,95,407 recovered completely from coronavirus. Maharashtra has 510 Omicron cases while Delhi reported 351 Omicron cases. Kerala, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan are next in the list and they have more than 100 cases each of the Omicron variant. Telangana has 67 Omicron cases and AP reported 17 cases. The experts said that the wave may reach the peaks in February and will stay strong till the end of March. As per the current predictions, the wave may reach peaks in January itself. The current daily spike increased by 5 times in the past one week.
