Maharashtra heading for a Second Lockdown:- The second wave of coronavirus is in the country and the rise in the number of cases is clear that the second wave of coronavirus reached India. Maharashtra is the most impacted state of the country and it reported more than 40,000 cases in the last 24 hours. The situations are out of control and the cases are increasing on a regular basis. Cities like Mumbai and Pune reported huge number of cases from the past week. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray directed the Chief Secretary of the state to chalk out all the plans to apply the second lockdown in the state at the earliest.

Uddhav Thackeray asked the Chief Secretary Sitaram Kunte to draw a strategy for the lockdown in the state. Maharashtra government already imposed restrictions and banned the Holi celebrations in the state. As per the reports coming from Nagpur, only 33 percent of the senior citizens took up the coronavirus vaccine in the last 28 days in the district. The government of Maharashtra is taking all the steps and several meetings are planned about the second lockdown. Thane reported 3777 new cases in the last 24 hours. The Maharashtra government is trying hard to keep the economy afloat during these pandemic times. Uddhav Thackeray said that several factors are not being considered seriously. Maharashtra Public Health Minister Rajesh Tope was present for the meeting.
