Limited seats and unlimited aspirants!

Limited seats and unlimited aspirants!

In a party of closed circle, some of the guests asked for serving chicken leg pieces one after another.  They wanted only leg pieces nothing else.  Then the host asked them how many legs a chicken can have.

Managing a political party in the present scenario is not an easy thing.  Leaders with some following in their locality or constituency expect a position in the party and with a Government portfolio if possible.  If they are not given and also don’t see of getting any in future, they get disappointed first and then show their anger and ultimately leave the party.  But the last part depends on the chances of getting a good position in the party they join.

The President of Telangana Rashtra Samiti, K Chandra Sekhara Rao wanted to strengthen his party by inviting leaders from other parties.  It worked to some extent.  Some leaders migrated from other parties.  How many seats can be adjusted and what about the seniors in the party waiting for their turn?

That type of problem occurred in YSRCP when Dadi Veerabhadra Rao left TDP and joined YSRCP.  Konatala Ramakrishna objected for Dadi’s entry. He still maintains his hostility.

In spite of all this, KCR promised to give Nagarkarnool MP seat to Manda Jagannadham and Alampur Assembly seat to his son.  He offered his own constituency Peddapalli Parliament Constituency to Vivek and Bellampally Assembly to his brother.  But MP Rajaiah was not offered any seat adjustment in TRS.

Above three MPs of Congress Party belonging to Telangana region wanted to join TRS as their requests on a number of occasions were turned a deaf ear to by the party high command in making a promise on Telangana State.  Today is the dead line they gave the party chiefs for their decision making on the formation of Telangana State.  As there is no response from the party high command, these three MPs wanted to leave the party and join TRS.  As Rajaiah was not offered any seat to contest with TRS flag, he refused to join that party.

Political leaders are very clear about their aspirations and they also don’t mind if their intentions are revealed.  Yes, they want power- power to rule, power to make money and power to get influence in the society and Government offices.  When it is their full time profession, they want to make it an avenue to fulfill their aspirations.  Representing people, working for the people and working in the welfare of the poor and downtrodden?   They all are useful in making speeches or criticizing other party members!
