Elections are the only way where a politician officially declared his properties. The common man gets stunned by those figures if a politician has huge amount of assets and when you read the heading of this article, you expect Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi' name as he was the in charge of the state for the past decade.

However Narendra Modi is yet to file his nomination and his assets worth are yet to be known. Then you must be wondering who might be this richest candidate in Gujarat, well he is actor turn politician Paresh Rawal.

From Ahmedabad East constituency, Paresh in contesting on behalf of Bharatiya Janata Party and on Tuesday he has filed his nomination. He declared that his assets are worth Rupees 79.40 crores and in that Rs 68.28 crores are on his name, Rs 8.75 crores on his wife Swaroop's name and Rs 2.37 crores on  two sons. Movable assets such as cash and jewellery, on Paresh's name are worth Rs 52.72 crores while Rs 2.75 crores are in Swaroop's name. The immovable assets such as land worth Rs 15.56 crores while his wife owns property worth Rs 6 crores.  

So far, Paresh is considered the richest candidate of Gujarat with these figures. As the nomination date is yet to get expired, we have to see whether any other leader can beat Paresh or not.
