Water saving trick: 6 million 'shade balls' into water

California, US is currently facing a severe drought and so the people over there collectively came forward, to preserve the water of their state.

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power rolled out thousands of small, black plastic balls to protect water quality by preventing sunlight-triggered chemical reactions, deterring birds and other wildlife, and protecting water from rain and wind-blown dust.

The black plastic balls will be used as the floating covers, to reduce the water evaporation in the reservoirs. Watch the video below for a better understanding of what the people have exactly done.
