Mudragada House Arrested Before Padayatra:- Senior leader Mudragada Padmanabham has been fighting for special reservation for Kapus and he has been demanding the government to add them in BCs. Though the request has been in demand from years, it was Mudragada Padmanabham who raised the heat across the coastal belt of Andhra Pradesh. Mudragada Padmanabham happened to meet AP Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu who even promised special funds for the caste and revealed that the government is working on the special reservation for Kapus. Various senior leaders and celebrities from the caste like Dasari Narayana Rao, Chiranjeevi and others supported Mudragada Padmanabham and his protest making some harsh comments on the government.
Mudragada Padmanabham recently announced a special padayatra to the new capital Amaravathi after which there has been high tension prevailing in and around Kirlampudi, the native village of Mudragada Padmanabham. 2000 cops have been deployed to the spot to prevent Mudragada Padmanabham from coming out of his home. He has been announced house arrest for a day. Around 5000 cops have been in duty in East Godavari district to prevent any unwanted situations.
Before this, Mudragada Padmanabham announced 126 kms padayatra from Kirlampudi to Amaravathi which the government felt that would disturb the common people and the security in the state. Mudragada Padmanabham revealed that it would take place for 25 days covering various villages. Mudragada Padmanabham has not taken any necessary permissions for the padayatra informed the police. A tense atmosphere has been prevailed across Konaseema. Thousands of youth have been deployed from reach Mudragada Padmanabham’s residence.
Mudragada Padmanabham warned that if he is arrested, he would start the padayatra on the day he will be released. He made clear that he is in no mood to relax on the Kapu agitation. He also informed that the JAC Leaders, activists will take up the padayatra if he is arrested or restricted to his home.
