Rahul Gandhi Hits Out Again At Modi Over Pan-India Tax Regime:- Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi again hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Tuesday, over the pan-India tax regime. He said it was designed so as to grab peoples’ earnings. These remarks of Gandhi come a day after he described the Goods and Services Tax (GST) as “Gabbar Singh Tax”.

“Congress GST Genuine Simple Tax. Modiji’s GST Gabbar Singh Tax Ye kamai mujhe de do (Give me these earnings),” Gandhi mocked in a tweet.

The difference of the GST proposed by the previous Congress-led UPA regime and the one implemented by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government, was highlighted by Gandhi’s remarks.

Across the nation, its proposed GST was a single tax of 18 per cent, with few forms to be filled, while the one implemented by the BJP-led NDA government has 28 per cent tax and several return forms, said the Congress.

The Congress leader while addressing a rally in Gandhinagar, on Monday, described GST as Gabbar Singh Tax. He said that  jobs, education and health infrastructure were wanted by the youth of Gujarat, which the government had failed to provide. He further hit out at the BJP over bribe allegations leveled by Patidar leader Narendra Patel. No matter how much money the government wished to spend, the youth of Gujarat was not on sale, said Rahul Gandhi.

“The government is trying to suppress the voice of Gujarat, and when they failed they tried to buy the voice of Gujarat,” he said. Rahul called the BJP’s definition of GST a “Gabbar Singh tax”. The GST has led to massive protests by the trader community in Gujarat.

“Ye jo inka GST hai, ye aam aadmi pe bojh hai… Ye GST nahi, ye Gabbar Singh Tax hai,” Gandhi said.

It was his Gabbar Singh remark that caught the eyes and ears of Twitterati, while Gandhi continued his attack against BJP and called the party “dramebaaz party number one”.

So when a parody account that goes by the handle @RealHistoryPic took to Twitter and asked the people to give their definition of GST, the account received more than a thousand responses as Twitterati got really, really innovative.

Here are some of the responses:
