Uddhav Thackeray's First Promise after Taking Oath:- Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray took oath as the 19th Chief Minister of Maharashtra in a grand ceremony and a packed place in Shivaji Park, Mumbai last evening. Shiv Sena along with NCP and Congress formed an alliance after which Uddhav Thackeray took oath as the Chief Minister. He bowed the crowd head on to the floor to express his gratitude for the people of Maharashtra. "This government is for all" said Uddhav Thackeray during his speech. A cabinet meeting was chaired for which all the leaders of three parties attended.

Uddhav Thackeray announced Rs 20 crores fund for the conservation of Raigad Fort which happens to the capital of Chhatrapati Shivaji. Uddhav Thackeray also said that his government will stand as a huge support for farmers in the state. Their first cabinet meeting was held in Sahyadri Guest House in South Mumbai. Chhagan Bhujbal, Jayant Patil, Balasaheb Thorat and Nitin Raut attended the media briefing along with Thackeray. “We have sought inputs. Farmers have not got anything, but only assurances. We want to provide concrete help to farmers" said Thackeray.
