Thunderstorm Kills 88 In Bihar:- A thunderstorm in Bihar killed 88 people in Bihar in the last 24 hours. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced an exgratia of Rs 4 lakhs for the family of the deceased in the incident. As per the authorities from Chief Minister's office, over 20 people were injured and they are admitted in the hospital. Several properties and houses got damaged due to the strike of lightning. The Bihar State Disaster Management Department said that all the 23 districts of the state are impacted because of the unusual lighting and the thunderstorm.

Gopalgunj is the most impacted region with 13 casualties. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his grief about the incident and ordered the state government to take all the necessary actions. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar appealed the people of the state to stay indoors to be safe during the storms. Home Minister Amit Shah also expressed grief on the tragedy. "Very disturbed by the death of 83 persons in lightning strikes and storms in Bihar, especially in Gopalganj district. People of Bengal stand by the affected people and express condolences to the families of the deceased" tweeted Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal. Several national leaders expressed their condolences.
