Speedster Ishant Sharma, who spearheaded the victory of the Deccan Chargers against Kochi Tuskers Kerala in the league match of the IPL season 4 at Kochi on Wednesday by claiming five wickets, said his mind is not yet set towards selection for the national team.
“Frankly speaking, I did not think of the national selection as my mind was not set for that. I just wanted to win for the day and I did my best for my team Deccan Chargers,” he said in an interview to a national news agency.
Ishant Sharma’s third best performance as a speedster in the IPL season fetched him five wickets in the match and helped his team Deccan Chargers post a 55-run victory against the Kochi Tuskers Kerala.
After being dropped from the national side, the Delhi speedster has been really working hard to keep himself fit for every match. Ishant Sharma, who won the man-of-the-match award, thanked the pace bower Zaheer Khan for helping him with some tips on the technical side.
