Captain Kumar Sangakkara-led Deccan Chargers romped home comfortably by defeating the Delhi Daredevils by 16 runs in their Indian Premier League match at the Ferozshah Kotla at Delhi today.
A breezy half century by Sunny Sohal and a power packed knock of 49 by the captain helped the Chargers post their victory, their second in the league matches in on going IPL season-4.
Chasing a target of 169 given by the Deccan Chargers who won the toss and elected to bat first, the Daredevils failed to reach the target despite a good start by stroke player and Captain Virender Sehwag.
The total of 169 proved to be too big for the host team which ended up with a total of 152 runs for the loss of 7 wickets losing wickets at regular intervals.
