Anticipated ton from Tendulkar, forget speculating

Well it’s true that we should leave the Master batsman play his stroke play instead of worrying about the Hundredth hundred in any way. Any test match or an ODI beginning and if Sachin Tendulkar is playing, all of us concentrate on his century and forget his contribution to the team’s winning stride. It is time we shrug this tag and move forward and let the icon play his style and get more laurels to our nation.

And now the speculation is on that completing his 100th international century in Tuesday's Test against the West Indies on his home turf, the Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium is an honor to his home audience. There is enough reason to believe that the next Test being held in Mumbai will add more pressure on Tendulkar to achieve the milestone, imminent since the World Cup earlier this year. But for Sachin it is home turf at any oval in the world, because he has got his loyal supporters across the globe, amidst players and amidst fans.

Anticipating the fireworks, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has decided to felicitate Tendulkar with 100 gold coins (Rs.28 lakhs), should he reach the elusive mark at the Wankhede Stadium, similar to the one proposed by the Cricket Association of Bengal for the Kolkata Test.

But look what the Master blaster has been quoted in a media, `I know everyone's talking and thinking about my 100th century. I want to be relaxed and let cricket decide its own course. I am not rushing into anything; just concentrating my normal game.’
