The allegations of betting and passing of information against Chennai Super Kings team former principal Gurunath Meiyappan have been found guilty by the Justice Mukul Mudgal Committee in its report submitted to the Supreme Court on the Indian Premier League spot-fixing case. The Mudgal Committee had submitted its 170 page report to the Apex court today in the morning hours and said that the allegations require further investigation.
This is major blow for the BCCI President N Srinivasan as Meiyappan is none other than his son-in-law. This could also have impact on Srinivasan's crowing as ICC Chairperson in the year 2015. Now with the charges being proved, Chennai Super Kings future fell dilemma as any team owner of a franchises found guilty, they may be scrapped from playing as per IPL Governing Council's constitution.
