
Kolkata Knight Riders [KKR] defeated Royal Changellers Bangalore [RCB] in nail biting contest by two runs in the IPL 7. RCB captain Virat Kohli won the toss and put the opposition into bat first. KKR captain Gambir again flopped and went for a duck but another opener Kallis along with Lynn, kept KKR is a decent position. Though both the batsmen were removed in the 11th over, Robin Uthapp and Suryakumar Yadav scored at fast pace in the end. Finally KKR posted a total of 150 runs for the loss of seven wickets.
Chasing the total, RCB openers gave a good start and post 64 runs partnership for the first wicket. Kallis and Vinay Kumar removed the openers, then came Kohli and Yuvraj. Both batted steadily and kept the scoreboard running. However KKR bowlers, Narine and Umesh Yadav dismissed them and RCB fell the defense. AB de Villiers got into the crease with pressure and in the final over he attempted a massive shot and was caught on the boundary line by KKR's Chris Lynn. This catch was one of the best of season and it changed the match to KKR side.
Finally KKR won the match by two runs.
