Germany outplays Portugal

Germany has outplayed Portugal in each and every department in their first match. Germany defeated the weak Portugal with 4-0 and this is the country's100th in the world cup tournament. Thomas Muller of Germany made the difference by scoring hat-trick.

At 12, 32 and 78 minutes, Muller took advantage of Portugal's defense and scored goals. Despite Cristiano Ronaldo on Portugal side, he could not save the team and the most setback for Portugal is, it's ace player Pepe was awarded Red card in the 37th minute. Pepe had handled Muller and the referee made him to walk out of the ground.

In other matches, Iran and Nigeria ended in a tie while America defeated Ghana with 2-1 goals.
