Marin Cilic wins US Open title

The 25 year old from Croatia, Marin Cilic won the US Open 2014 titled with 6-3, 6-3, 6-3 win over Japan's Kei Nishijori. This is a maidne title for Cilic while Nishikori is the first Asian born man to reach finals of a Grand Slam.

Marin Cilic is 6 foot 6 inches tall guy who made use of his height in containing his opponent. He defeated Nishikori in straight sets in a match that last for only one hour and 54 minutes. Interestingly Cilic was suspended from US Open 2013 for using an banned substance and he shocked with the title win the 2014 tournament.

Cilic hit 17 aces and 38 total winners. Cilic made only 52% of his first serves for the match. He served two unreturnable serves in the final game and cracked a backhand winner to end the match in winning side.

This is the first Grand Slam final to he played by unseeded players after 38 major tournaments.
