Shaan who had recently tuned an actor after huge success in the field of singing with several number one hits has now been trying his hand at writing words for the songs. He had shot to stardom with his number one hit "Tanhaa Dil", which can still give goosebumps to many. He has then been the heartthrob of millions of fans for his unique style of singing and fashion.

Babul Supriyo had showered countless praises on the singer cum actor's skills stringing words together for songs. He said that Shaan had been tremendously good at his latest work in an new album featuring Shankar Mahadevan, Alka Yagnik, Shaan, Javed Ali, Neha Bhasin and Babul himself.

In a party in Mumbai, Babul said, "The moment I heard the tune composed by this year's National Award winning composer Neel Dutt, it was only Shaan who came to my mind and as an 'ever-smiling friend' and I was sure he would never say no to my request. Shaan happily obliged and gave my song Shukriya, a complete new definition with his passionate yet simple words. Talking of his skills in his original field of work, she said, "He is already a super successful singer, I sincerely hope he starts writing more; I am sure he will earn great recognition for his abilities as a lyricist too".

With newer crowns being added to his head, Shaan had been going to newer heights. He is about to make on the big screen with Mika in the ending of the year or early next year.
