Kamal stopped from creating new history

Universal star Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam was supposed to be released on January 11 and a day prior to it on DTH platform. However, last minute hiccups played unfair game with Kamal Haasan and apparently disturbed his distant dream that almost came true. With Tamil Nadu film distributors issuing a fatwa that they would not be releasing Vishwaroopam movie in theatres if the premier of the movie will be released on DTH platform, Kamal Haasan had nothing else other than changing his decision. Prior to changing his decision, Kamal even received threatening calls, which even made him approach the police.

Now, things seem to be settled at the cost of Kamal's dreams. Tamil Nadu film distributors are happy as Kamal agreed to release the movie without releasing the premier show on DTH. The movie release date also got postponed to January 28 and the movie would be telecast on DTH platform in the first week of February. What about those who paid Rs. 1000 and Rs.500 for Tamil and Hindi versions respectively to various DTH companies to watch them on TV? Well, they would certainly get a full refund, said our experts.  Anyway, everyone was excited as Kamal was all set to create new history in Indian Cinema but our distributors didn't make it happen.
